Classic French Braid

Whether your hair is long or medium, straight, wavy, or lightly curly, this braid creates an instantly neat, camera-ready look.

Start with detangled hair and a light smoothing cream. At the crown, gather a triangular section. Cross side strands over the center, adding small pieces from each side as you work back. Keep even tension and angle the braid slightly downward to the nape. Secure with an invisible elastic, then “pancake” the braid—gently tug the edges—for a softer, fuller finish. Mist with a light-hold spray for touchable control.

                            Crown French Braid

It’s a beautiful pick for weddings, showers, and any day you want a touch of fairytale polish. The braid lifts hair off the neck while highlighting cheekbones and eyes.

. Part ear to ear across the crown, then start at one temple, French braiding along the hairline and adding small, even sections. Continue around the head, keeping tension consistent. Tuck the tail under the braid and pin invisibly. Tease the crown lightly for airy volume, pull a few tendrils, and set with a flexible-hold hairspray. A touch of shine serum on the ends adds a healthy glow.

                  Side French Braid + Waves

Curl sections with a 1-inch wand away from the face, let cool, and brush into relaxed waves. Starting above the fuller side, French braid toward the nape, feeding in small pieces while keeping the rest wavy. Secure with a clear elastic and wrap a tiny strand around it to hide the tie. Finish with a texture spray for lift and a touch of shine mist for gloss

                      Double French Braids

Symmetry instantly looks polished, while tight, even braiding keeps strands sweat-proof and tangle-free.

Part cleanly down the center. Work a little gel or curl cream at the roots for grip. Starting at the hairline on one side, French braid toward the nape, adding small sections with steady tension; repeat on the other side. Secure both ends with elastics. Lay edges with a dab of edge control and a soft brush. For fine hair, mist a texture spray first to add hold; for curls and coils, layer leave-in conditioner beneath gel to lock in moisture.

Low French Braid Ponytail + Ribbon

The braid adds crown lift, the ponytail keeps movement, and the ribbon delivers a feminine, camera-ready finish that looks chic in any light.

Start with smooth, detangled hair. Emulsify a pea-size smoothing cream through mid-lengths and roots for slip. Create a classic French braid from the crown to the nape, feeding in small, even sections and keeping tension consistent. At the nape, secure with a clear elastic, then gather remaining hair into a low ponytail and tie a satin ribbon (1–1.5 inches wide) in a neat bow. Curl the tail with a 1-inch iron and brush out for soft gloss, then mist with a flexible-hold spray.

                    Waterfall French Braid

Curl 1-inch sections away from the face, let cool, then brush into soft waves. On the heavier side of your part, begin a French braid, but drop the bottom section each time (that’s the cascading “waterfall”), replacing it with a new strand from above. Continue to the back of the head, secure with a small elastic or bobby pins, and blend into curls. Finish with a flexible-hold spray and a touch of shine serum on ends.

               Half-Up Double French Braids

Create a middle or soft side part. Curl 1-inch sections, let cool, and brush into airy waves. Starting at each temple, French braid toward the back of the head, feeding in small, even pieces and keeping tension light for a relaxed finish. Join both braids with a clear elastic, wrap a small strand to hide it, and mist with flexible-hold spray. A drop of shine serum on ends boosts glow.

                    French Braid Low Bun

Prep with a blowout for smoothness and apply a light styling cream for slip. French braid from the crown to the nape, adding small, clean sections and keeping tension even. Secure with an elastic, then twist the tail into a low chignon, pinning in sections. Add pearl or crystal pins for subtle sparkle. Smooth flyaways with a toothbrush spritzed in hairspray, and finish with a shine mist for a healthy glow.

                      French Fishtail Braid

Prep clean, dry hair with heat protectant and a light texture spray. At the crown, gather a triangular section and split it into two. Create a fishtail by taking a skinny strand from the outside of the left section and crossing it over to the right; repeat from the right to the left. To “French” it, add a little hair from each side before every cross. Keep sections thin for a detailed, ribbon-like pattern. Continue to the nape, switch to a regular fishtail (no more added hair), and secure with a clear elastic. Gently pancake the braid edges for airy fullness, then mist with flexible hold and tap a drop of shine serum through the ends.

               Scarf‑Woven French Braid

Choose a smooth silk or satin scarf (2–3 inches wide). Fold lengthwise. Create a small pony at the crown with a clear elastic and loop the scarf through the elastic so both tails hang evenly. Divide the pony into two hair sections; the scarf becomes the third strand. Begin a classic French braid, crossing sections over the center while adding small pieces from the sides each pass. Keep the scarf flat and visible. At the nape, braid a few more inches, tie with a clear elastic, then knot the scarf tails around the elastic and tuck ends or leave a cute bow. Set with a flexible-hold spray and gloss the mids-to-ends.
